Drs. Griffin Cole and Robert Harris of the Center for Advanced Dental Disciplines are honored to help dental practitioners across the country learn more about ozone therapy and how this natural and effective treatment can elevate their dental service offerings. Their fundamental courses offer dentists 14 AGD credits with the goal of helping dentists understand both the science and practical applications of ozone therapy. Following completion of the courses, dentists will know how to:

  • Install and use the ozone generator in the dental practice
  • Use ozone to help patients address many dental conditions and improve their overall dental health
  • Eliminate aerosol/biofilm contamination in patient rooms

Throughout the course, participants will cover the following topics:

  • Practical applications and clinical procedures: From setting up the ozone unit to treating another participant, learners will practice all treatment, applications and dosage protocols
  • Nasal insufflation treatment: Used to determine if a patient has a sinus or tooth issue and treat microbial infections, allergic reactions, or inflammation in the nose, sinuses or respiratory tract…this is an ideal way to combat nasopharyngeal infections like Covid 19
  • Ear insufflation treatment: Used to treat TMD and tinnitus or ear pain that is caused by tooth decay
  • Treatment of periodontal disease: Participants will learn to treat gum disease with ozone gas, ozonated water, and ozonated oil. They will also learn how to use full-arch custom trays to address gingivitis and the proper protocols to address periodontal disease.
  • Disinfection of prepared tooth surfaces: Ozone therapy can be used to restore a damaged tooth, address tooth sensitivity, and clean dental pulp through indirect or direct treatment.
  • Endodontic disinfection with dental ozone: Used to treat and rehabilitate teeth that were previously endodontically treated, or have new infections
  • Oral surgical procedures: Learn how ozone therapy can assist during dental extractions, implant procedures, or osteonecrosis

Benefits of ozone therapy

While ozone therapy has well-documented benefits, it is still not a common service provided by many dentists. By adding this treatment to your current prevention, restoration, and cosmetic services, you can stand out from your local competition. Your practice can attract a wide range of patients who want to combine holistic, natural healing methods with skilled and trained professional expertise. Additionally, ozone therapy offers further patient benefits for those who have dental anxiety or phobias. Because ozone therapy is applied with a light touch, patients feel more comfortable with this treatment than with traditional dental treatment. As a natural healing tool, ozone can speed up tissue regeneration and help patients manage a number of dental conditions.
